Spring Break is an excellent time for college tours. Would you purchase a house or car solely based on internet pictures, brochures mailed directly from seller and suggestions from family and friends?  Probably not. But this is essentially what you’re agreeing to when you apply to a school you’ve never visited. That’s why the college visit is an important aspect of the application process. Careful research is crucial, but it cannot replace your actual first-hand impressions of a school.
