College Essay Workshop

Good grades and test scores aren’t enough to land a spot at a top college, but a standout essay can send your application to the top of the pile. This workshop will allow students to brainstorm, write and refine essay that can be used with multiple applications. Students will draft a college application essay, receive personalized feedback and use feedback to revise and improve the essay.

Junior Jumpstart (Class of 2022)

A college preparation program designed for current 11th graders. Junior Jumpstart workshops will focus on preparing students to apply to college and scholarships.Students will be ready to apply to college before the start of their senior year. Workshop topics include:
  • College and Scholarship Search
  • College Application Essay
  • Scholarship Essay

Just for Juniors (Current 11th graders and parents)

Designed for high school juniors and their parents who are embarking on a critical year in the college admissions process. Come learn about the current college admissions climate, key areas to focus on for college admissions preparation, identifying the right colleges, preparing for college visits and conducting college research.

Navigating College Admissions (Parent & High School Student)

Are you a high school student or the parent of a high school student? The college admissions process can be very stressful and time consuming for the entire family. Receive advice on helping your child maximize the high school experience, choose the right colleges, put together standout applications and financial aid. Tips and strategies will be provided on selecting courses, getting involved in outside activities, choosing appropriate standardized tests, college application essays, letters of recommendation and provide insight into how colleges read applications.



Planning and Preparing to Pay for College (Parents of college bound students)

Paying for college, applying for financial aid and scholarships can create confusion and stress for the entire family. Topics covered include overview of financial aid process, FAFSA, CSS Profile, Funding Sources, and strategies for paying less out of pocket.

Senior Express Informational Session – Class of 2022

A test prep and college essay workshop designed for 12th graders who have a very strong direction of where they will apply, yet desire additional support to put together an outstanding application. Senior Express includes an SAT or ACT test prep course in fall and workshops that focus on student’s college application essays. Get in the Senior Express and be ready to apply to college before the end of the first semester.
